Canal Street, New York
A very recognisable New York yellow taxi cab crosses the intersection at the corner of Canal St and Broadway. This is near Chinatown and Little Italy in downtown Manhattan - the entire area is filled with small shops selling very cheap goods. I'm not sure exactly how much of it is legitimate, but it certainly makes for a bustling marketplace.
To save the image as your desktop wallpaper, first click on either 1024×768 or 800×600 above, whichever matches your screen resolution. Then right-click on the image, and choose "Set as background".
