Back Canal of Venice
This is one of the quieter canals of Venice, not quite an alleyway but also not the Grand Canal. The photo was taken from a bridge crossing the canal - two other bridges can be seen further along the waterway.
The waterside buildings all have their steps down to the water, and moorings for their own boats.
